Job Responsibilities

We have many protected areas in the form of conservation agreements and biotope protection.

Throughout the year, we are undertaking an initiative to check the boundaries and where needed, mark both new and old protected areas. Boundary markings or additions are done by painting on trees, placing posts, or using tape.

We are therefore looking for two forest consultants for fieldwork who are motivated to work independently in some of the finest forest areas in Västra Götaland. Both will be based in the same location, Uddevalla or Skövde. In addition to boundary checks/maintenance, there may be other tasks within the district. The position may involve work and travel with overnight stays throughout the county.

Qualifications

Education focused on forestry and nature or equivalent is desirable. We value relevant work experience and experience in similar tasks.

You have a very good ability to navigate using maps in the field. You have good capacity to move freely for full days in terrain with a backpack and equipment.

It is advantageous if you have previously used digital mapping support and GPS. Experience in practical forestry work, clearing, and chainsaw certification is also advantageous. A B driver's license (manual transmission) is a requirement. Please indicate in your application whether you prefer to be based in Skövde or Uddevalla.

Conditions

We offer a fixed-term full-time position that lasts for five months in spring/summer with the possibility of extension. Start date as soon as possible by agreement, preferably in April-May.

We apply individual salary setting.

Contact

Please feel free to contact district manager Anna Nordh at phone 010-1721723 if you want to know more about the job.
